Economic development with constitution implementation: Basnet

Kathmandu, August 9: Minister for Information and Communications Mohan Bahadur Basnet today said the country would pursue economic development with the implementation of the new constitution.
“”Now the country’s main agenda should be for economic development,”” he said while speaking at a programme organised here by Sindhuplachok-Kathmandu Liaison Committee to honour Minister Basnet and newly elected local level representatives from Sindhupalchok district.


Claiming that Nepali Congress would become the first party in the third phase of local level election slated in Province 2 for September 18, and other two elections—province and federal– scheduled for January 21, 2018, Minister Basnet who is also NC leader, asked party leaders and cadres to come together committed and in a disciplined manner.
He also said initiatives were being taken to bring disgruntled party onboard the polls through constitution amendment. At the event, various newly elected representatives including mayor, deputy mayor and rural municipality chairperson and vice chairperson were honoured. RSS
